A visit to America is the ‘dream of' each traveler who comes from another continent. America is the meeting point of cultures, nations and customs. New York, Mexico, etc are the favorite destinations of many potential travelers. Don’t forget that the trips help the people overcome the differences and the misunderstandings between nations. What better way to achieve this than traveling to a continent such as America.
This particular multinational America should make us be aware of being well organized when we begin our travel to this 'New World':
America’s big cities (such as New York) never stop to trigger a traveler’s curiosity because they are multicultural. However that does not mean that they are not dangerous, particularly for individuals that visit for first time, and are not used to urban environment.
Do not accept any invitation from unknown individuals offering to help in your transportation from the airport or harbor to your accommodation. Generally, only speak to strangers if you need to ask for directions.
The best thing to do is to have ready a plan of where you want to go before leaving your hotel room, so you will spend more time in the exploration of different locations.
Never leave your baggage, not even for a moment, out of sight, and pack only what is absolutely essential.
Never wear expensive clothes and jewels that project prosperity or wealth, because this could make you an objective of attention to a thief.
If you have in your possession credit cards, do not take more than one of two with you. Also be certain that you do not have your PIN number written with your card.
Those who use cash, do not keep it all in the same place, you should store in different places on your body and in your baggage.
Families and groups of tourists that travel together should remain linked throughout the duration of travel. If at some point they are separated, they should organize a meeting point.Be prepared for basic health concerns. Take a first aid kit and if you have prescription medicines take a copy of the prescription with you.
